Our client are pioneers in the development, manufacturing and distribution of premium core materials, including high-performance PVC and PET foam products, sustainable balsa wood for structural applications and advanced carbon fiber multiaxial fabrics. They are seeking an exceptional Director of Sales & Business Development to spearhead their European growth strategy. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this pivotal role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact across multiple European markets.

As the Director of Sales & Business Development for Europe, you will:
  • Lead Team Development: Build, train, and manage a cohesive sales team across European territories.
  • Drive Strategic Growth: Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with group objectives across designated markets and segments
  • Cultivate Key Relationships: Maintain and strengthen existing customer partnerships while strategically expanding their customer base and product adoption
  • Provide Market Intelligence: Gather and analyse critical market insights and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making
  • Deliver Results: Track and analyse key performance metrics to ensure achievement of sales targets and continuous improvement

Your Profile
  • Education & Experience: BSc Degree in Engineering, Materials Science or similar technical discipline. 15+ years of demonstrable success in composite materials sales leadership
  • Technical Acumen: In-depth understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes and applications
  • Established Network: Strong existing relationships within the European core materials industry
  • Leadership: Proven ability to build, develop and manage high-performance sales teams
  • Cultural Agility: Demonstrated success working across diverse European markets
  • Communication Excellence: Advanced presentation and communication skills, with fluency in English essential
