This is a hands-on, end to end engineering role covering the full component manufacturing lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping, production, testing and final assembly. Taking lead on process development and project delivery, you will be working across high value industries such as defence, aerospace and marine and at every stage collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
Responsibilities Include:
- Drive engineering solutions across the entire project lifecycle.
- Assess technical risk defining development plans and report against project delivery
- 3D solid modelling and CAD documentation
- Design of tooling
- Design for manufacturing
- Plan and supervise process qualification
- Production troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Identify and develop emerging composites technologies
- Shape engineering solutions aligned to commercial strategy
- Contribute to technology road map for targeted opportunities
What are we looking for?
- Expert user of CAD software (SolidWorks). Able to design components for prototyping and final design
- A technically strong and commercially aware engineer with knowledge of composite manufacturing processes
- You will be confident leading, communicating and collaborating across disciplines, equally at ease with clients as you are with internal teams.
- An engineer who can navigate complex engineering challenges, balancing competing technical and commercial demands to find the right solution
- Importantly, you will be a team player, actively contributing to the wider team's capability and growth.
