The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, end-to-end engineering role. You will take composite products from concept through to production, leading design, process development and project delivery across some of the most technically demanding industries in the world, Defence, Aerospace and Marine. You will work directly with clients, suppliers and internal teams, reporting to the Engineering Manager with real visibility and real responsibility from day one.
Project Management
- Lead feasibility studies and end-to-end project delivery
- Develop commercial offers covering materials, process and profit margin
Design
- Detail design, stress analysis and design for manufacture of products
- 3D solid modelling and CAD documentation
- Design of tooling
Process
- Planning and supervising process qualification
- Production troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Automation compatibility assessment for volume production
Innovation
- Identify and develop emerging composites technologies
- Shape engineering solutions aligned to commercial strategy
- Contribute to technology roadmap for targeted opportunities

A technically strong and commercially aware engineer with a genuine passion for composite materials and manufacturing. You will be confident leading, communicating and collaborating across disciplines, equally at ease with clients as you are with internal teams. You will be someone who can navigate complex engineering challenges where the answers aren't always clear-cut, balancing competing technical and commercial demands to find the right solution. Importantly, you are a team player who actively contributes to the wider team's capability and growth.
