Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced composite manufacturing engineer to join their expanding workforce at their facility in Florida and become an integral member of program teams supporting current development and production activities.  The company is part of one of the leading multinational groups in the production of specialty components for the aerospace, transportation, energy and industrial markets and has a 25+ year heritage in the design and manufacture of high technology composite products.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in advanced composites, ideally, within the high-technology aerospace and defense industry, and among other skills, will be expected to have experience in developing new products; supporting the successful transition of programs from the development stage to the production stage; writing work instructions, developing tooling and designing and optimizing workflows
  • Experience with multiple composite processes, especially focused on RTM and Compression Molding
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) discipline
  • A certificate (green or black belt) in lean and six sigma
  • CAD experience (CATIA, NX or SOLIDWORKS)

  • An ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • A strong analytical mindset
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities

Negotiable remuneration package

Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of innovative industrial laminating equipment. With their manufacturing site located in the UK, sales and service for their equipment are available throughout the world through a network of local offices and agents based in Europe, the USA, China and the Indian sub-continent.

With an established reputation for excellence in the composites manufacturing sector, they are experiencing continued growth with significant interest being shown in their uniquely designed modular equipment. In order to meet the demands of the market, they wish to appoint a sales manager for the Northern, Central and Eastern European regions. Some responsibility will also be given for managing existing customers in the UK.

Reporting to the Global Sales and Marketing Director, responsibility will be taken for:-

• Regional sales development (UK, Central, Northern & Eastern Europe)

• Winning and closing of high value capital equipment orders  

• Development of the company’s agency and distributor network around Europe

• Initiating and managing marketing programmes.  

• Liaising with internal sales and marketing

The successful candidate will be required to travel extensively and will ideally have a background in business-to-business sales of capital equipment or other technical products.
